It is with immense fervor, pride and excitement that I welcome you to our Southern Regional Undergraduate Retreat, hosted by Theta Chapter on the beautiful campus of Wiley University in Marshall, Texas.
As we gather under the theme "Polishing Our Pearls": Refining Our Sisterhood, I am reminded that pearls are not born perfect—they are formed through pressure, persistence, and time. Each layer adds strength, beauty, and value. Similarly, our sisterhood is refined through intentional cultivation, shared experiences, and a commitment to excellence that defines Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
This weekend is your opportunity to shine brighter. You will engage in meaningful dialogue, forge deeper connections, and sharpen the leadership skills that will carry you beyond these college years into a lifetime of service and impact. The knowledge you gain, the relationships you strengthen, and the vision you develop here will become the foundation upon which you build your legacy within our beloved sisterhood.
I challenge each of you to arrive with open hearts and open minds. Be present. Be engaged. Be intentional about your growth. The investment you make in yourself this weekend will yield dividends far beyond what you can imagine.
Remember: A pearl is a beautiful thing that is produced through grit. Embrace this journey of refinement, support your sisters through theirs, and together, let us continue to exemplify the scholarship, service, sisterhood, and finer womanhood that are the hallmarks of our great organization.
I look forward to witnessing your brilliance.
