Undergraduate Leadership Retreat
A Message from Southern Regional Director
Rhetta Washington McCoy
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2025 Southern Regional Undergraduate Leadership Retreat. As we gather under the theme "Finer Visions, Brighter Futures," we celebrate not only our rich legacy but also the promising path that lies ahead for our beloved sisterhood, a sisterhood that was established by 5 collegiate women 105 years ago.
This retreat represents more than just a gathering – it is an opportunity for growth, leadership development, and the strengthening of bonds that will carry our organization forward. As undergraduate members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., you embody the future of our organization, and your presence here demonstrates your commitment to extraordinary excellence and service.
As a participant in this year's Undergraduate Leadership Retreat, you will have access to:
Sisterly Bonding
Engaging Workshops
International Leadership Representing our Undergraduate Membership
Regional Scholarships
Regional Academic Recognition and Awards
Sponsorship Opportunities for the Collegiate Leadership Summit
Phired Up Recruitment Strategies
I promise this is not the ULR that you want to miss.
I want to thank our Southern Regional Undergraduate Member-at-Large, Nichole Jones, and our Undergraduate Council: Dy'Lana Hamilton, LaTavia Williams, Jewel Harris, and Yvonne Forman for raising their hands and answering the call to represent the Undergraduate members of the "Mighty" Southern Region and plan an Undergraduate Leadership Retreat that is representative of you!
Lastly, I would be remiss if I did not thank our host Undergraduate chapter, Omicron Eta, led by Tori Turner and their sponsoring Graduate chapter, Omicron Beta Zeta, led by Cynthia Logan. Thank you for the work that you are doing to ensure that our members have a "Mighty" good time.
I look forward to seeing you in Arlington, TX!
A Message from Southern Regional UGMAL
Nichole Jones
With great enthusiasm, I invite you to our Undergraduate Leadership Retreat, hosted by the Omicron Eta Chapter at the University of Texas at Arlington! This year, we embrace the theme "Finer Visions, Brighter Futures", a call to action for all undergraduates to step into leadership, elevate their impact, and build a legacy that reflects the excellence of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
This retreat is more than just an event—an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. We will strengthen our foundation in Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood through engaging workshops, meaningful discussions, and sisterly fellowship. Leadership is not just about holding a position; it’s about having a vision and taking action. Together, we will explore how to lead with purpose, serve with passion, and push forward with intention.
I encourage every undergraduate in the Southern Region to join us for this empowering experience. Let’s come together to cultivate our leadership, embrace our Finer visions, and build brighter futures for ourselves and our communities.
I can’t wait to see you in Arlington!
